The daily report your foreman will actually fill out.
Hours by person and cost code on a tap grid, quantities installed per bid item, equipment, weather, photos and the toolbox talk. Then sign and send. The target is under two minutes for a crew of four, and it keeps working with no signal.
On every plan. Only the foreman needs a login.
What it does
- 01
Today's job, already open
The foreman sees the project he is assigned to today and yesterday's report status. One button starts the report.
- 02
Hours on a tap grid
Crew is prefilled from the schedule. Each person gets chips for the cost codes on this job and a 0.5-hour stepper. Hours past 8 roll to overtime, and the classification comes from the worker record.
- 03
Quantities against the contract
Contract items with steppers and the quantity remaining, filtered to the cost codes this crew works. These quantities drive earned hours and the pay estimate.
- 04
Extra work, flagged the same day
An "Extra work today?" toggle with a description starts a potential change order while the details are fresh.
- 05
Safety and photos
Toolbox talk topic and attendees, plus photos resized on the phone before upload.
- 06
Works in a dead zone
The draft saves on the phone after every tap. With no signal, the report queues and sends when the phone is back online.
- 07
The office approves
Reports land in an approval queue. Approve, edit or send back with a note. Approval creates the timecards, quantities and labor cost.
- 08
Crew without logins are free
Laborers and apprentices on the report are worker records, not users. Only the foreman needs a login.
In practice
3:30 PM, end of shift.
An example with sample numbers.
- 1
The foreman taps Start daily report. His crew of four is already listed.
- 2
Two taps per person put 8 hours on conduit and 2 on pull boxes. One apprentice is marked.
- 3
He bumps 2-inch conduit by 120 LF and No. 5 pull boxes by 2, adds a photo and checks the toolbox talk.
- 4
He signs with a finger and submits. In the office, approving it moves PF, budget burn and the next pay estimate.
