Stop retyping quantities into the pay estimate.

Agencies pay by the quantity installed per bid item. WorksPro already has those quantities from approved daily reports, so the monthly estimate starts filled in, through the 20th, with retention and previous payments worked out.

Sample data

What it does

  • 01

    Pre-filled from the field

"New estimate" pulls the quantity installed per bid item from approved reports since the last estimate, through the period end. The default cutoff is the 20th.

  • 02

    Unit-price and lump-sum items

Quantity times unit price for unit items, % complete for lump sums. Previous paid, this period and to date on every line.

  • 03

    Materials on hand

Claim stored material when the agency allows it, backed by your purchase order receipts.

  • 04

    Retention, set per agency

5% by default and editable per agency or contract. The tracker shows retention held per job and the release due date, 60 days after completion under PCC 7107.

  • 05

    Two PDF formats

The agency's quantity format by default, or G702/G703 for agencies that ask for it. Mark each estimate submitted, approved or paid with the check number.

  • 06

Underbilling shows up on its own

If the field has installed more than you have billed, the Command Center tells you how much, and how many days remain before the cutoff.

In practice

The 18th of the month.

An example with sample numbers.

  1. 1

The Command Center warns: "Elysian Valley underbilled $62k. Cutoff the 20th, 4 days."

  2. 2

You click Draft pay estimate. 214 conversions installed, 151 billed. The difference is already on the line.

  3. 3

You add materials on hand for the poles in the yard, check retention at 5%, and export the agency PDF.

  4. 4

When the check arrives you record it, and retention moves to the release tracker.
